Niobium is a pure element, whose features are very similar those of titanium and therefore it can be applied for initail jewellery according to the EU Regulation.
Niobium exists in very small parts in the human body (in blood, bones, liver and muscles). So by entering in the body it is nearly impossible that it causes allergies or miscellaneous skin irritations. Certainly it must be supposed that the jewellery is composed of 99.9% niobium (999niobium). Is the worth among this, whatever it can get to allergic reactions. A sterilisation of niobium among steam pressure is possible unconsidered.
