As labret piercing a horizontal stitched piercing in the area of the under lip is described.
If the canaliculus runs vertical it´s called vertical labret (eskimo piercing). The labret can be applied central in the middle of the under lip or displaced sidewise. Further several piercings can be arranged symmetrical (venom piercing) or paired sidewise (snake piercing).
The healing takes about 4 weeks and meanwhile you should waive on alcohol and tobacco.
For jewellery special labret studs are suited but also a ball closure ring (BCR) or circular barbell.
Horizontal Labret
The horizontal labret piercing is very rare and it is stitched horizontal, so from the left to the right through the underlip. Both piercing balls are visible. It is recommend to carry piercing jewellery made of PTFE.
