By an oetang piercing (also foreskin piercing) the male foreskin is stitched horizontal or vertical, which only is possible by uncircumcised men.
The piercing mainly is stitched near to the edge of the foreskin, but it also can replaced as desired.
A variety of the oetang is to connect two opposited canaliculus with a piercing barbell or a BCR, so that the foreskin is hold together above the glans and doesn´t let tuck up. Supposedly this variety was used by the old Romans and other ancient cultures for chastity reasons. Today it is rather odd.
By every genital piercing you should waive on any sexual activities during the healing time and the hygiene should have priority. The healing of the oetang piercing takes about 4 to 8 weeks.
For piercing jewellery a ball closure ring (BCR), a piercing barbell, a circular barbell or a banana barbell are suited.
