The lane piercing is stitched horizontal through the lip vermilion of the underlip.

Becasue it involves a surface piercing, the risk subsists that the jewellery grows out and a scar is be formed.

The healing takes about 2 to 6 months. During the first time you should waive on tobacco and alcohol, so the wound isn´t irritated and the healing process is advanced.

For jewellery a curved barbell or a surface barbell should be used.
